Importance of Scheduling a Makeup Trial

Here is a Funtastic Friday post from a guest poster.  Elizabeth is an Edmonton based makeup artist, who is also a preferred vendor with us.  She talks about the importance of scheduling a makeup trial before your big day--meaning your WEDDING  DAY!!

"Hello Henna Art friends!

My name is Elizabeth with Makeup By Elizabeth and I have been doing makeup for over 5 years and styling hair for just over a year.

Beauty is my life and glamour is my passion. Primarily I work with brides, beautiful women who are excited for their special day whom I am so blessed to be able to work with. It’s always an honor for a bride to hire me as it’s such an important part of their day. People will be looking at your face and into your eyes all day, the camera will follow you and your emotions trying to capture your expression at every important moment. This means you want to look flawless all day long, not worrying about fading or bad makeup or unattractive colors or, of course, tears.

This is where I come in, first we have a trial. This is so important--I get to meet you, get to know you, talk about important details as well as learn about your tastes, the colors you and your bridesmaids are wearing etc. There’s a limited time on the wedding day so I want to meet you when your relaxed, have time to think about things that are important to you and try something you think might work. Generally we want to get to know each other so on the wedding day you trust me, you know you like my work and you feel confident your wedding day will be perfect. Weddings are a huge a part of my life and I get to learn from each client how to make their dreams come true. It sounds tacky but it’s also real, looking into the mirror and seeing that you are the most beautiful you have ever been allows you to relax and just enjoy one of the most important days of your life.

My clients are very special to me and I do my best to make you feel pampered and relaxed as well as prepared for anything beauty you may need. Thanks for reading! If you’re interested in my work please visit my website for more photos.  http://makeupbyelizabeth.ca"
